Electro-mechanical design of your parts & assemblies 3D Solid Modeling CAD (Computer Aided Design)

We offer concept development and design for your mechanical parts and assemblies.  As the quickest and most efficient process, we employ 3D solid modeling CAD (computer aided design) from SolidWorks.  2D drawings from SolidWorks or AutoCAD are also offered.  When appropriate, we can go from the design as a 3D solid model directly to manufacturing, without the additional time and expense of producing 2D shop drawings.

In addition to design, we are a “one stop shop”, following through from concept to production.  CNC (and conventional) machining can be done in house, or by our network of machine shop partners.  The best approach in 3D printing/“rapid prototyping”/stereo lithography for your project can also be determined and implemented.  With these new development in prototyping and manufacturing, turnaround time and cost is reduced.

Here are a few examples of recent projects chosen to demonstrate a variety of applications.  These are solid models as produced in the normal design process, they are not rendered graphics.  The exception is the last item, a PDF, which are photo realistically rendered examples of the eDrawing #2 model.  These demonstrate the possibilities for presentation and promotional projects.  Some 2D drawings form SolidWorks and AutoCAD are included as well.

Click on the model you want to view.  Once the model comes up, use the controls to view from all angles.  Use the browser BACK button to return here.  For best results, it is recommended that Internet Explorer browser be used.  When you click on your choice, the eDrawings viewer is automatically downloaded and installed on your computer.  You may be requested to download Active X controls from Dassault (SolidWorks).  If you prefer to avoid all downloads, contact RLH and we will mail this info to you on a CD that will not save anything onto your computer, unless you so desire.

Tip for viewing eDrawing #12 -
(after the viewer has been opened):
The HOME button will close the core box.  To open and close the box, use the viewer EXPLODE button in left hand fly-out panel.
